Found something on Marketplace, Gumtree or a yard? I meet you at the car and go over it properly — engine, brakes, suspension, fluids, body, and a scan for stored fault codes the seller has cleared. You get the honest verdict on the spot and a written report the same day.

Call, or send the job card. Year, make, model, the noise it makes and where the car is parked. That's enough for me to know what to load.

You get a price and a time window in writing. If I can't be certain until I've looked, I say so and quote the inspection only.

The questions everyone asks

What does it cost just to get you out?
$100 to come out and look at it, anywhere across the Perth metro area. If you go ahead with the work, that $100 comes straight off the bill — so the diagnosis effectively costs you nothing. If you decide not to, the $100 is all you pay and there is no pressure from me either way. Pre-purchase inspections are quoted separately, since the price depends on the car and how far I am driving to look at it. No hourly meter running while I drive.
Will a mobile service void my new car warranty?
No. You're entitled to have your car serviced by any qualified mechanic without losing the manufacturer's warranty, as long as the servicing follows the logbook schedule and uses parts of the right specification. I stamp the book and give you itemised receipts, which is what a dealer would ask to see.
What can't be done in a driveway?
Anything needing a hoist or a machine I can't carry: wheel alignments, tyre fitting, clutch and gearbox removal, major engine internals, brake rotor machining. Vehicle examinations for licence transfers also have to be done at an authorised inspection centre. I'll tell you early if your job is one of these, and point you to someone who does it well.
Do you supply the parts, or can I?
Either. I source quality parts at trade price and warrant them along with the labour. If you'd rather supply your own, that's fine — I'll fit them and charge labour only, but the parts warranty is then yours, not mine.
How do I pay?
Card on the spot, bank transfer, or cash. You get a tax invoice by email either way.
My car won't start right now — is that a today job?
Call rather than message. I'm on the phone 8am to 8pm, seven days. If I'm already on the tools I'll tell you honestly whether it's me this afternoon or a tow tonight — I'd rather you got moving than waited on me.
